The Mesquite Education Foundation (MEF) is proud to announce that Linda Lentz has been selected as the organization’s first executive director. Ms. Lentz comes to Mesquite from Ector County ISD and brings 27 years of experience in public education, including her work as a classroom teacher, administrator and foundation director. Ms. Lentz's first day in the MISD was January 14.
“I am looking forward to working with the Foundation Board and increasing the positive impact we can have on the students and teachers of MISD,” said Ms. Lentz. “This group has come so far in just three years and we are ready to take the next steps in our quest.”
In her role, Ms, Lentz will direct the Foundation’s fund-raising efforts, coordinate special events and manage the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. She will office in the EMS/KEOM suite at the Professional Development Center.
“The MEF is lucky to have a person of Lentz’s caliber on board. Her experience in all aspects of public education and fund raising will be a tremendous asset to the MISD, the Foundation and our community,” said MEF President David Belt.
