Established in October 2004 by the MISD Board of Trustees, the Mesquite ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the education of Mesquite’s 40,000 students. Guided by a community-based Board of Directors, the Foundation addresses public funding shortages by actively securing tax-deductible donations from alumni, citizens, businesses, and other organizations. These community-funded resources are distributed through a grant application process to support innovative programs, teacher initiatives, and educational growth that fall outside the regular school district budget.
